Unlock your sp tokens by starting the waiting period, then reclaim your asset during the claim window
Unlock Period
When you select Request Unlock, your spAVAX enters a waiting window while the underlying AVAX is unbonded from validators.
This unlock period is designed to mirror Avalanche’s native unstaking time and will be set by governance between 7 and 30 days on mainnet.
(Note: the 60-second timer you see now applies only to test environments.)
Claim Window
After the unlock period ends, a claim window opens. During this time, you can redeem your unlocked AVAX back to your wallet.
The claim window is currently 7 days on testnet, and will be governance-adjustable between 1 hour and 30 days on mainnet.
If you don’t claim within that window, your AVAX remains safely in the pool—you’ll just need to submit a new claim request later.
